Revision introduction

Cells are basic structural and functional units of organisms. The plasma membrane controls exchange with the surroundings. The nucleus contains genetic material; mitochondria release usable energy by respiration. Plant cells usually have a cellulose cell wall, plastids and a large vacuole. Tissues are groups of cells with a shared function.
